Drug Awareness

Boundary training

This training will offer delegates the knowledge and understanding of personal and professional boundaries, which also includes the importance of boundaries and how they should be established. Blood Borne Virus Awareness

The course provides a foundation for understanding of Blood Borne Viruses, providing explanations of what the conditions are and how they occur. The training will also provide information on transmission, testing, confidentiality and health and safety, and also information on universal precautions, and attitudes and values.

Harm Reduction/Needlestick Awareness

This training is for individuals working with injecting drug users, and offers the key skills to safely handle and dispose of sharps and sharps equipment. The course covers key elements on appropriate procedures in handling equipment which could be contaminated. The training will also offer advice on how to deal with injuries.

A two day course designed for workers completing assessments on clients. Dealing with Aggressive and Abusive behaviour

This 2 day training will allow participants to deal effectively with potential and actual aggressive and abusive behaviours from others. The course defines what aggression, abuse and violence are, as well as exploring the causes and triggers to this behaviour. The training will also allow them to understand the process of this behaviour and look at what interventions could be used in the situation.
