Investors In People – Gold Award November 1, 2011

NECA has recently attained the Investor in People Gold Award. This is an extremely prestigious award that places the charity within the top 6% of all nationally recognised Investor in People organisations.

Following the assessment NECA were commended for “excellent examples of good practice including a genuine and well embedded commitment to social responsibility, very strong and effective communication processes and a genuine commitment to equality and diversity”.

The assessor identified particular areas of strengths including excellent training and development opportunities and the supportive and caring culture that the organisation provides citing NECA to be “very professional” with “a strong sense of pride, ownership and responsibility”.

NECA first achieved the Investor in People Standard in 1999 and have successfully retained the Award at all subsequent reviews. The 2011 assessment is the first time we have aimed for achieving a “beyond the standard” award and were thrilled to achieve the top award.

This achievement demonstrates and confirms the hard work that everyone within organisation carries out and the dedication and commitment that you all show on a daily basis.

The assessment itself has been a comprehensive and rigorous process. To be awarded Gold is a huge accomplishment.
