Conclusions
This review has confirmed that NECA has fully met the requirements of the current version of the Investors in People Standard. The standard of performance evidenced during this review visit against the Investors in People Standard was considered to be very high. The culture, ethos and values of the organisation are very well understood and embody the principles of Investors in People. People are highly motivated to do a good job and enjoy their role believing that they make a positive difference.
Communications are generally considered to be effective with a variety of processes being used, but most effective being the line management and supervision processes. There were numerous examples of people being empowered and taking ownership for their job role, and interviewees could give numerous examples of how they had been encouraged to develop an idea or an initiative to help develop or improve the service delivered to clients.
People appear to work well together, and there is a strong sense of belonging which engenders an excellent team spirit. The level of commitment and enthusiasm to the organisation was evident throughout the on-site interviews, people expressed their genuine interest in the job, and many stated that it is a good place to work. People believe that managers are supportive and provide guidance and direction where required. The Assessor was impressed with the level of commitment, enthusiasm and loyalty demonstrated throughout this review visit.
