Treatment / Support Worker ( South Shields) Ref. 07/30

Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of clients who have substance misuse problems to ensure that they access the best possible packages of care. The work will include offering advice, information and supporting clients enabling them to make positive lifestyle changes you will also provide semi structured weekend day care activities for clients accessing treatment services in the South Tyne area. This will include one to one support; group work and networking with a range of agencies to ensure clients are provided with a range of suitable treatment interventions. You will have experience in supporting people with substance misuse needs and of using a range of therapeutic methods, approaches and interventions as well as possessing a relevant social care qualification.

Counsellor ( Sunderland) Ref. 07/32

You will be responsible for working directly with individuals living with alcohol and substance misuse problems, providing one to one structured counselling, support, advice and guidance, covering a wide range of interventions and approaches. You will have considerable knowledge and experience of the issues affecting this particular client group. The Diploma in Counselling qualification is an essential requirement.
