Our Mission
Since establishing in 1974, NECA remains committed to its central aim:
the reduction of physical, psychological or social harm resulting from an individual's own drink or drug use or from someone else's.
Our philosophy is reflected in our organisation's mission statement:
"To promote the prevention, recognition and treatment of problems related to the use of alcohol, drugs, related substances and gambling".
We now have a major presence throughout the North East region and work in partnership with statutory services and other leading voluntary agencies.
